Crappy zombie movie with terrible makeup FX.

Unlike the stellar zombie documentary novel, World War Z, the docu-film American Zombie was just plain mediocre at best. In fact, you really can’t even call this a true zombie film since there’s almost no gore and all the zombies act like normal people. Apparently, if you live in L.A. and become a zombie, the worst that happens is some dry skin and a few pimples.

I finished reading World War Z several weeks ago, but with all the work of getting this site up and running, it wasn’t until recently that I was able to sit down and write a review for it. Although a little difficult to read at times due to its lack of any sort central protagonist, the book operates on such a broad level that it’s difficult not to get sucked in by the constantly changing narrative style. With its unconventional documentary style, the war against the zombies is told through a series of interviews that have been broken down and organized into a specific timeline. It begins with the first reported cases of the disease in China and follows the progression of the epidemic as it rips across the planet like a wildfire, toppling world governments and spreading anarchy, leaving behind a ravenous horde of the undead in its wake.

Burn it to the ground

Yes, it’s true. The good folks at Ubisoft just can’t stop themselves from constantly reminding you that their game has some of the most realistic fire effects in videogames to date. Not only do they make a point to mention it on the game’s case several times, but seems like you can’t hardly walk five steps without either accidentally (or intentionally) starting an uncontrollable wildfire or being reminded via info pop ups about how usefully fire can be when used against your enemies during battle. Hell, they even give you a freakin’ flamethrower at the beginning of the game!

Humorous Pictures

This explains why I’m sick and why most of my sodas are gone!

*oog…trying to be funny makes my head hurt.  I stop now =^_^;;=*

Sorry, about the lack of an update today.  I’ve got my write up on Far Cry 2 about half way done, and I’ve just begun the review process for the Sayonara, Zestubou-sensai manga that was released a couple of weeks ago.  Hopefully, I’ll fill better tomorrow and can be more productive.

Later,

ZOMG! Shota trap!

Based on a book of the same name, Let the Right One In is a sad disturbing tale about a young boy who falls in love with a vampire. Filled with complex emotions and moral ambiguity, the film maintains a childish facade that belies its dark nature.
