Review: The Spirit (DVD)

Samuel L. Jackson is most displeased with this film.

It’s a given that Samuel L. Jackson automatically improves the quality of any film or TV show he’s put in, but not only does he steal the show in The Spirit, he’s pretty much the only good thing in the entire film. Well, him and Scarlett Johansson (loved her as Silken Flossy *swoon* *raging hard-on* =^_^;;=)

Review: Hollow Fields vol.1 (Manga)

Hollow Fields' Miss Notch...yeah, I'd hit that

Perhaps a better title would have been “Professor Snapes School for Wayward Muggles.” (FYI, before any of you Harry Potter fans out there get your hand-knitted scarves all in a bunch, I already know that Professor Snape didn’t like muggles. Screwfly solution rant

Review: Dance in the Vampire Bund vol.1 (Manga)

Vampire Bund - Good to be a loli

Personally, I find that really good vampire stories are a real rarity in the manga and graphic novel world. I’m sure there are those who would disagree with me about this, but that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it. In fact, the last two good vampire series in the genre that I read were the 30 Days of Night graphic novels and the Hellsing series. Thankfully, I finally have something new to add to that list with Dance in the Vampire Bund.
