Despair. It's funnier then you think.

Sporting an acerbic wit and a charming art style, Sayonara, Zetsubou-sensei vol. 1 is a delightfully comedy that’s not afraid to poke fun at a variety of social and political issues. Despite its harem style trappings, Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei easily manages to distinguish itself from the pack due to its quirky, and somewhat morbid, sense of humor.

I can use the internetz too!

After much thought and a minimum of research, I’ve decided to set up a Twitter account. If you would like to what I’m up to in regards to the website, you can now do so. My hope is keep all of you update-to-date on what items I’m currently reviewing, where I stand on particular projects, info on website downtime or missed updates, and pretty much whatever wierd thoughts are percolating inside my slightly warped brain. Don’t worry; it won’t be a deluge of comments. I probably won’t “tweet” more than once or twice a day on average (if that). To find out more about twitter and read recent messages, check the sidebar on the right for the new widget I’ve installed.

On other news, I’ve not only recently discovered what RSS feeds are, but I also found out that the website was already making subscriptions available with me even realizing! Yeah, I know. Total fail on my part. Anyway, if you’re interested in the content on this site, but are too lazy to visit it on a regular basis; feel free to sign up for our RSS feed. It’s easy and it’s free.

That’s all for now. I have a Sayonara, Zetsubou-sensei review to finish up…

See you tomorrow!

S.S. Astro character chart

S.S. Astro, a.k.a. Asashio Sogo Teachers’ ROom, is a 4-koma (4 panels per strip) manga by writer/artist Negi Banno that details the day to day lives of four teachers at Japanese high school. The art style is cute and attractive, but the storylines are occasionally disjointed and confusing with the artist simply abandoning one segment in order to rush on to the next.

Review: Monsters vs. Aliens (Movie Theater)

Monsters Vs. Aliens is a wonderful Pixar-esque film that boasts top-notch graphics and humor. Although the story was more than a little predictable, the star-studded cast and the huge amount of nerdy in-jokes made for an enjoyable outing nonetheless. The fact that it’s also available in high definition 3D at my local theater was just the icing on the cake.

Internet Access War: Network – 1, Webmaster – 0.5

Hey, everyone. I know your probably getting as tired of these non-updates as much as I am, but it appears that the only place I can access the internet right now is at work on my lunch break. My internet provider came out yesterday and fixed the lines. After much cussing last night, it nows appears that the majority of my internet problems are actually stemming from some sort of issue with my home network. Having reached the limit of what I can do on my own, I have asked for some help from a relative. Hopefully, they’ll be able to help me get the issue resolved soon so I can start posting real updates again. In the meantime, since I don’t have anything I can upload, I’ll leave you with this cute little video I found over at Joystiq. It appears to be a music video style trailer for a new game from Popcap (makers of the highly addictive Peggle game) that depicts the important role plants will play in the coming war against zombies. I hope you enjoy it and if things go well, I will hopefully be able to upload some new reviews soon.
