Fat Princess released, promptly demands cake.

Today is a blessed day indeed, folks! The long awaited multiplayer game, Fat Princess, drops today on PSN for the sweet price of only $14.99. This delightfully cute capture-the-flag style game that replaces the flags with fat girls has been on my watch list for well over a year and I’m glad that I’m finally going to get the chance to join in on the mayhem. For more details on the game and to see more videos, check out the webpage for it over at Playstation.com

MvC2 asks “Where yo curly mustache at?” on Xbox Live tomorrow

Much beloved fighting epic Marvel vs. Capcom 2 releases tomorrow with all 56 characters unlocked and the promise of awesome online play for the low price of 1200 MS points ($15). Personally, I can’t wait to take my preferred team of Iceman, Sentinal and Tron Bonne out for a spin again after being seperated from them for so long. Maybe if I’m lucky, the re-release of this game will encourage the creation of some new fan art of my beloved Tron Bonne.

Sadly, I must admit I am a bit disappointed that nothing was done to spruce up the dated graphics. Instead, developers decided to add in a few new smoothing filters in an effort to make the graphics look a little less painful on HD setups. Despite this particular shortcoming, the game is still a classic and is full of awesome sauce. If you’ve got the scratch lying around for it, I highly suggest joining in on the worldwide beatdown set to take place tomorrow online =^_-=

Master Chief does anime (a more moe Cortana to follow soon)

Master Chief - Cortana has anime boobs!

So apparently the big news of the day from the San Diego Comic Con was NOT Sony’s announcement that they will be making replica chain blades available to gaming nerds everywhere. Instead, the big news today was Microsoft’s announcement that they will be producing an anime based on their Halo franchise called Halo Legends. The anime will be anthology stlye affair much like the Batman: Gotham Knight movie from last year and if fact features many of the same anime studios as well. We’ve got a bit of Studio 4C, a dash of Production IG, and just a touch of stufio BONES for color. No word yet though on whether the Toei Animation segment will feature Master Chief flinging Kamehameha waves at any Covenant forces unfortunate enough to cross his path.

Chain blades for the Nerd Faithful

Kratos is going to be pissed

In an effort to make God of War fans into even bigger nerds then they already are, Sony has announced a deal with United Cutlery to make replicas of Kratos’ chain blades available to that all important segment of the population that will buy anything with a chain attached. The Blades of Chaos replicas are roughly 20 inches in length and come with a custom display stand to make it easier to mount over your fireplace. For those interested in pre-ordering one of these bad boys, you can do so via the United Cutlery website for the measly sum of $123.99.
