This started making the rounds on the internet yesterday and I figured I’d pass it along. Apparently, those folks who would rather sit in their virtual lazy boy as opposed to going out and running over old people in the street like a real man, can now look forward to having something new to watch in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 4 expansion: Ballad of Gay Tony. Now when you tune into the in game TV, you’ll be greeted with the parody anime series in the trailer above. Considering that we’re talking about the GTA series here, I’m certain that the potentially NSFW trailer above will look pratically G-rated in comparison to the finished product.
Although I abandonedthe streets of Liberty City sometime late last year, this alone is enough for me to consider revisiting good ol’ LC again…and maybe spend some time driving over a bunch of old folks minding their own business on my way to my crib too. Good times, folks, good time. =^_-=
So I just got a reminder note from Activision letting me know that DJ Hero was released today for the 360, PS2 and PS3. I can’t say I really blame them for being excited. At $120 a pop, I’m sure the execs over at Activision will be taking full body money baths before the end of the year as gamers devour the next big thing in pretend music making. I know I for one am looking forward to seeing a turntable shaped package under my Christmas tree this year…if for no other reason then I want an excuse to put on a droid style helmet and pretend I’m as cool as Daft Punk
Just in case you missed all the hoopla over the past half year about this game, feel free to check the official press release about it after the jump.
It’s been rumored to be in the works for awhile, but according to the email I received just a little while ago, PS3 owners can finally look foward to an end to all those lonely nights of crying themselves to sleep because they couldn’t watch Netflix on their console like those cool Xbox 360 kids next door. Yes, it’s true. Playstation owners will finally become apart of the in-crowd when they gain access to Netflix’s online streaming library of films and TV shows next month.
With my first Monday Music post going belly up on me almost as soon as I posted it, I’ve decided to post a second video. Although not as visually pleasing as the “Nothing but a J thang” video, I still really dig this live version of “Nerdcore Rising” that was performed by Optimus Rhyme and MC Frontalot at PAX 2007. Hope you like it as much as I do (and hopefully it won’t get pulled from YouTube like my last video =^_^;;=).
Now that my wife is all better, I’ve decided that I should probably get back to work on the website. First up this week is a new weekly feature I’m calling “Monday Music.” Yeah, I know. It’s not the most original title, but it get’s the job done.
Anyway, the new feature will showcase fun or funny music and videos that can be found around the net. Today’s feature is a remake of Snoop Dog and Dr. Dre’s classic “Ain’t nothing but a G-thing” song, but this time it’s a couple of gaijin rappers talking about how awesome it is to live in Japan. Enjoy!
*Update: It appears that the original poster has pulled the video from Youtube. I’ve tried to find a replacement, but have turned up empty handed. Sorry. Hopefully, I’ll have better luck with next week’s video
