After much hunting, I finally found a somewhat decent zombie christmas song. While I admit that the audio quality on this video could be bit better, overall, this amatuer video of accordian and vocal duo Vagabondage practicing their song “Zombie Christmas” isn’t half bad. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
As an added bonus, I’ve posted a couple of bonus video after the jump. On is a montage of musical numbers by Frank Klepacki, a.k.a. the man with the world’s coolest guitar, as he imagines what christmas songs bands like AC/DC and Rob Zombie might sound like. Also, as part a follow up today’s zombie themed christmas music, I’ve included the animated short “Night of the Living Santa.”
Okay, maybe I exaggerated a little in the title. To be really safe, you should probably mainline black tar heroin rather then download Pixeljunk’s newest gamer, Shooter. If you think I’m overstating things, then apparently you’ve never played any of Pixeljunk’s other games (like Eden, Monsters or Racers.)
If you haven’t figured it out yet, the new game is a shooter that has you piloting a ship deep into the bowels of the earth rescuing standed folk and using various enviromental hazards to your advantage. Simple looking, yes. Simple to beat…not so much. If it’s anything like Eden, your going to playing this bad boy for a while.
Anyway, if you like addictive games, I highly suggest checking out their latest effort. I, unfortunetely will have to wait to download the PSN exclusive until after Christmas due to…ahem…funding issues. Sadly, I tried to offer my PS3 the five dollars I had in my PSN account and the use of my body for…er…recreational purposes, but it was unfazed and it continues to stubbornly insist that I must pay the full price of $9.99. Grrr…

There’s really not much to Groov, but for only 80 MS Points ($1), I’m not complaining. The game heralds from the indie developer section of Xbox Live and is nothing more then a simple top down space shooter. Groov takes the best elements of Geometry Wars and combines it with the musically enhanced rythmic gameplay of the PS3 exclusive, Everyday Shooter. Every shot you fire and every enemy you kill has a musical note attached to it and as you rack up kills, you’ll begin to cycle through different sections of the techno tune used for the game.
As I said, there’s not a lot to the game. There appears to be only a handful of enemy types, only one song is used for all three different game types and the time slowdown mechanic has proven to be frustratingly unreliable.
Still, for only a buck, it’s not that bad a game if your looking for a cheap, casual musically themed shooter.
Bottom Line:
Check on the demo from the Indie section of Xbox Live. What you see there is pretty much the whole game. If you like the demo, then you probably won’t regret the dollar it takes to by the full version that has two other play modes and no time limit.
Final Score: 4 out of 5 stars

Did you hear that? Yeah, that was the sound of thousands of gamers crapping themselves in both excitement and fear at the thought of stepping back into the blood crusted boots of Isaac Clarke. Although was able to make it to the bathroom in time,as a veteran of the Ishimura nightmare that took place over a year ago, it was a close call.
The original Dead Space was an epic and creepy shooter that I’ve loving fawned over for over a year now. Upon opening my mailbox and discovering it was this month’s cover story in Game Informer, my day instantly went from one of dreary, cold and full of rainy sadness to one full of WIN. With eager hands, I immediately began flipping through the pages of the magazine, eager to discover what new horrors lay ahead for Isaac. Upon reading the full article, I must say that I’m a little concerned, but not disappointed. The Gamer Informer article layouts a wide variety details about where and when the new Dead Space game will take place as well as taking the time to talk the only thing that’s really important to me and that’s all things relating the Isaac.
Here’s a sample of what I found out:
1.) Isaac is has never fully recovered from his experiances on the Ishimura
2.) Isaac will now be a fully voiced character this time around
3.) Isaac looks like a bad ass space ninja in one of his new suits
4.) Isaac will get to kill undead babies AND children in the new game 5.) Isaac is the man of my dreams and I just want to ride off into the sunset with him on a white unicorn
To find out more, I suggest you run, don’t walk, RUN BECAUSE THEY’RE RIGHT BEHIND YOU AND THEY WANT TO KILL YOU AND TURN YOU INTO THE WALKING UNDEAD IF YOU DON’T BY THIS MAGAZINE AT YOUR LOCAL STORE!!!!!

Alright, I know it’s been a couple of weeks since I posted anything new. As I mentioned in my last Monday Music post, I’ve been feeling under the weather (yes, again T_T) and I just haven’t had the energy left after work to do anything productive with the site. Hopefully, that will change this week as I’m trying to get ahead of the curve for once by uploading a bunch of stuff ahead of time. So please keep checking back through out the week for a variety of posts. I’m aiming for something everyday, but I hope you’ll bear with me if it doesn’t quite work out =^_^;;=
Anyway, today’s Monday Music installment is Christmas themed (as will be all the Monday Music updates for the month of December) and combines to of my favorite things: techno music and anime. In this case, it’s “Speedy X-mas” by an artist named Zymotic. The pretty anime pics that someone added as a backdrop are a nice touch, but as we all know, nothing makes a song more awesome then a phat techno beat.
As an added bonus, I’ve posted some examples of what happens when nerds with Christmas lights and too much time on thier hands are allowed access to camcorders and the internet. Enjoy!
