Fumiko’s Confession, a.k.a. Fumiko no Kokuhaku, is an independantly produced video created by Ishida Hiroyasu. I wasn’t able to turn up a whole lot about the creator himself (mostly because I can’t read Japanese =^_^;;=), but according to an article over at Anime News Network, he is a 21 year old Japanese student and aspiring animator. Although, he has previously produced and uploaded samples of his animation work to YouTube in the past, Fumiko’s Confession is his best work to date.

To view some of his older videos, check out his YouTube page. You can also view animation stills, production related artwork, and a variety of other items on his personal webpage. Lastly, if you would like to see an English translated version of the film, go here. Just make sure to turn on the close captioning feature on the bottom right hand side of the video.

Wow…that’s some pretty darned impressive work! O.o

Holy carp, that’s the best thing I’ve seen since FLCL. OK, maybe a bit too much pantsu but just the right amount of cuteness and exaggeration otherwise!

Yeah, Sankaku Complex referred to it as the “flying pantsu anime.” I too was reminded of FLCL and I hope to see more work for this creator in the future.
