The Legend of Koizumi – Reform without Wasted Draws (Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku), is an awesome anime and manga that pits world leaders against each other in high stakes mahjong battles to settle diplomatic disputes. Originally the brainchild of manga creator, Hideki Ohwada, The Legend of Koizume first appeared in a mahjong themed manga magazine. Since then, it has been growing in popularity ever since due to it’s outrageous humor and scathing political satire. The first volume of the anime OVA is set to officially debut in February. If you can’t wait that long, I suggest checking out manga scanalations of vol. 1 and 2 that are available via a variety online websites.

Special thanks to CKOanime for bringing this to my attention =^_^=

This looks like it very well may be the best anime ever made.
Hahah! That’s great, and the manga looks even better!
I fully agree that this may indeed be one of the greatest animes ever made. I can’t wait to start reading the manga. Supposedly it include battles with Vladimer Putin, both Bushs, and a more moe Hitler(!)
Whoah, after the second watching under less distracting conditions, I must concur! That is phenomenal. I laughed SO HARD at the victory move… his arm is so long!! XD Glad to see Bush in there on the segway. Totally didn’t get the joke with the girls and the billboard as the missile is being launched.
Yeah, his arm is like fifty feet long on that one. As for the girls, I think that maybe a reference to the “Joy Brigades” that service the leaders of North Korea. Or the creator’s just wanted to add in some cheerleaders :P
Oh noooooo….
I had to look up “Joy Brigades”.
….whoooooooooah!
