Gamestop Announces Three Day “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” Sale On Used Games.

Gamestop announced in today’s email newsletter that they will be running a three day sale on all used games. All used games and accessories will be “Buy two, get one free” with with an additional 10% off the final total for those with a Gamestop “Edge” card. Customers can take advantage of the sale at any Gamestop store or by using the code “B2G1Free” during check out on the Gamestop website. The sale begins immediately and will run through this Saturday, so if you’re looking to stock up on some games to keep you busy during the hot summer, now is a good time =^_^=

Sunday Sales: Need More Sales Tips Edition

I’ll admit it. This week’s installment isn’t that much different from last weeks with the only new addition being the 33% off sale from Right Stuf on all Yen Press titles. Since I only suggest sales from sites I trust, this means the selection can be a bit thin at times. Right Stuf 33% Off All Titles From Yen Press

Right Stuf kicked off a new sale this week that’s scheduled to run through the 14th June. The new sale gives customers a 33% discount on all Yen Press titles, including pre-orders and special order items. Now would be a great time to pick up a vol.1 of the delightful Spice and Wolf light novel series or perhaps give something like the Black Butler manga a try. Just make sure to type in the coupon code: contract during checkout to receive the discount.

Amazon Anime Blu-ray Sale (Up To 58% Off!)

As with most Amazon promotions, I don’t know how long this anime one will last. Since it appears to cover all the anime titles either currently available on Blu-ray or available of pre-order. It’s also worth remembering that any purchases made totalling more than $25 dollars are eligible for Amazon’s free shipping promotion as well.

GameStop $10 Game Credit Promotion (Online Only)

Gamestop is still running a sale duplicating Amazon’s current videogame promotion by offering $10 game credits on a several titles throughout their store. These specific titles have also been discounted between 10% t0 30% as well.

Massive Amazon Videogame Promotion

Amazon updated the list of games that are included in their current videogame promotion this past week by adding some new titles and removing some old ones as well as changing the amount of the discount on some titles to reflect a recent drop in MRSP (a la Mass Effect 2). Discounts still range from $10 to $20 off MSRP in addition to including a $10 to $20 game credit that’s good toward to the purchase of another game in the future. The amount of the discount and the inclusion of game credits various from title to title, with some titles only having one or the other. I’ve updated the list as best I could to reflect these changes, but if you spot something that I might have missed, just let me know. Lastly, I still haven’t heard when this current batch of promotions will end, so if you see something you like, you may want to go ahead and place an order.

Been a so-so week for videogame sales. Not much new other than the $10 videogame credit promotion from GameStop that covers the same games as Amazon’s current sale. I haven’t received any info on when either the GameStop promotion of the Amazon one will end, so if you’re on the fence about taking advantage of one of them, time may be of the essence.

On the anime side of things, I’ve included the FUNimation 40% off sale from Right Stuf as well as a huge Amazon sale on anime Blu-ray titles with items discounted as much 58% off retail. It appears that ALL anime blu-ray titles have received some sort of price reduction with the average amount of the discount being at least 30% off MSRP.

It’s not the greatest deal in the world, but it also doesn’t list any limits either. Might be useful if you want to reserve some pre-orders online :P

In what I hope will become a weekly article, I’m posting my first installment of “Sunday Sales.” These articles will highlight particularly good deals that I hear about throughout the week and that I hope will be of use to the folks who read this website. I not going to deny that buying items through these will help me out financially, but that’s not the main reason I’m doing it. I’m doing it because I love bargain hunting and getting the most for my money. Amazon’s Huge Sale On Live-Action Foreign Films. Half Price Anime Sale Wraps Up This Weekend.

Amazon is currently running a half off sale on ten different live action titles from FUNimation. None of the titles look particularly spectacular, but hey, a deal is a deal. Sale included such surefire winners as Ichi, Shinobi: Heart Under Blade, and Ninja Vixens: Complete Collection. No word on when the sale ends, so I suggest you check it out ASAP if your big into Japanese cinema and/or ninja-related hijinks.

In addition the newly announced sale on live action films from FUNimation, Amazon has also been running a sale on over 300 different anime titles for the past month. All the titles are marked down 50% and the sale covers both DVD and Blu-ray titles. The sale is set to end on the 19th of this month, so if your looking for some cheap anime to fill in your collection, I highly suggest checking it out as there’s some really good titles in there. I’m talking stuff like Spice and Wolf, Fullmetal Alchemist, Claymore, Baccano, Pumpkin Scissors, One Piece, Ouran High Host Club and much, much more.

Bargain Alert: Modern Warfare 2 Released, Available for $20 at Gamestop After Trade-in

Yes, it has finally happened. After two long years of waiting, Infinity Ward’s latest installement in the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare 2, is finally available for purchase on retail stores everywhere. Although I’m certain there are many fans out there who have already purchased their copy and are already at home “pwning teh n00bs,” for those who haven’t picked it up yet, Gamestop is currently running an excellant deal. In return for trading in two old games when making your purchase, you can pick up a copy of MW2 for only $20. Considering the list of qualifying games is quite large and includes some surprisingly old games, this could be the perfect opportunity for some gamers to maximise the trade-in value on games they no longer play in order to save themselves a cool $40 on a new game.
