I had heard it didn't do as well as some of his other movies and that he was disappointed by the feedback. In fact, he's even said he might consider putting off retirement or something to that effect. As for disjointed films, have you ever seen Pom Poko? That movies was a dog. I barely made it through it and it put my wife to sleep. Definitely not one of his better efforts =^_^;;= Sadly, I received it on Wed from Netflix, but haven’t watched it yet. I liked that movie quite a bit. Probably even more than my kids. XD I especially liked the storm scene! On of my fav parts of any Miyazaki film.
